UMA is proudly ranked #=169 in Southeast Asia, solidifying its position as one of the best universities in Medan, Indonesia.
In addition, UMA is recognized as:
- #1 Private University (PTS) in North Sumatra
- #3 among Public and Private Universities (PTN/PTS) in North Sumatra
- #169 among all universities in Indonesia
- #901 among all universities in Southeast Asia

By prioritizing impactful research, increasing outbound and inbound student exchange programs, and strengthening global partnerships, UMA is building a strong foundation for sustainable growth in rankings and contributions to society and industry. These efforts align with UMA’s strategic plan, vision, and mission for the future, particularly through the ECOSEC SusDev UMA Program,” explained Dr. Ir. Rahmad Syah, M.Kom., IPM., Asean Eng.
